Oh no where is the LDS protesters, if your going to protest do it in Victoria Secret garments!!!!!

    • LMAO January 28, 2013 at 7:09 pm

      Hahahahahahahahahahaha

    • Paul January 29, 2013 at 1:48 pm

Yes. I hate people too. :/

    • D Rex January 29, 2013 at 4:06 pm

They should go protest their secret sex toy parties that everyone hears about.

      • SunnyInUtah March 8, 2013 at 12:31 pm

They are obviously NOT secret if we all know about them. Since when did being LDS mean that you couldnt get “crazy” I dont know who you know or what you know but it isnt much seeing that most of us “modest” ladies can get a little wild we just dont have to tell everyone about it all the time.

  • Terran January 28, 2013 at 3:20 pm

I am happy Victoria’s Secret is coming here but how long will they last? With rent so expensive for the stores to stay in the mall they will be out in no time. Every good store that comes to the mall doesn’t end up staying, hence American eagle, hollister, gap. I’m just interested to hear how long they last!

    • Jade January 28, 2013 at 7:05 pm

So true, what’s up with that issue of high leasing. It’s ridiculous, doesn;t the mall management want things to make it? How do they get away with this?…I’m sure this store will stay though due to the fact every girl and woman (even men) dig this store!

    • LMAO January 28, 2013 at 7:13 pm

Well if the mall is too expensive, they can always move like GAP did to Red Rock Commons…

  • Jade January 28, 2013 at 7:02 pm

YESSSS!!!! About time this city gets its sexy swag on

  • Victoria's Bringin' It January 28, 2013 at 7:07 pm

Sexy George…Who woulda thought?! I won’t be surprised if the molly mormon modests actually protest this one haha

  • Tyler January 28, 2013 at 7:30 pm

Wow, although the mall is small, I’m beginning to feel like I live in a metropolitan area. Now where’s the food court or T.G.I. Friday’s? Will never believe the one and only mall must-have, Orange Julius went out.

    • Joyce Kuzmanic January 28, 2013 at 7:47 pm

      I love Orange Julius

      • DoubleTap January 29, 2013 at 11:03 am

        Bring back Orange Julius.

  • Perplexed - ? January 28, 2013 at 7:54 pm

The city would not grant or continue to grant local small business owners the freedom (license) to operate dance halls, but they’ll grant a business license to a super corporation to operate a business that contains a theme counter to ‘local values.’

Also, St. George News, would you please ad an image with the article that best represents the company that the article is about. The article would be enhanced by an accompanying photo of one of those attractive models displaying one of the products. Plus, responses from your readership might skyrocket.

    • Joyce Kuzmanic January 28, 2013 at 8:00 pm

      Ah, perplexed –
We had soooo many possibilities with this one.
In the end, we decided we couldn’t compete with your imaginations.
      😀

      • Tyler January 28, 2013 at 8:05 pm

You, Joyce, are too cool for this town hence why you have more facebook “likes” than any other local media haha

  • Elisabethy A. Williamson January 28, 2013 at 8:00 pm

Oh my goodness gracious, I am absolutely appalled that this store is coming near my Utah’s Dixie community where there’s still such thing of righteous and self respect and dignity of pure women. My mother, father and pure bishop will be most appalled. I will wear my shorts at or below the knee and always, ~ALWAYS~ be fully clothed in white pureness. Money shall always talk. Oh my what a disgrace~ .

    • Whitney January 28, 2013 at 8:21 pm

Oh. My. God. Rolling on floor..Laughing my @%^#% a$$ off!!!!!!!!

    • Aggravated at Prudes January 30, 2013 at 8:26 pm

What exactly do righteous, self respect and dignity of pure women have to do with the subject? After all, don’t pure women need to buy bras and underwear just like everyone else? Where is the disgrace in buying and wearing a good quality bra? Come on!! You need to wear a bra and underwear and buying them from a place like VS will not undermine your righteousness or dignity or pureness.

    • Professional Idiot January 31, 2013 at 1:49 am

Wow, really? I cannot quit laughing. This post by you has been the laughing stock at my workplace today!!

    • Mandee March 8, 2013 at 7:23 am

Wow I can’t believe some people….. I love VS they make good quality “undergarment” and the lotion is pretty bad a**. Just cause your LSD doesn’t mean you can’t feel like a sexy women. Come to the times people Tidy whites and granny panties are out of fashion just like the Farrah Fawcett hairdo.

    • Adeen March 24, 2013 at 7:00 pm

You’ll be happy to hear then that VS sells white undergarments!

Just because these aren’t Temple Garments doesn’t mean we’re ‘unholy’ if we wear them. If it’s comfortable and you feel good whats the problem? Just because you wear something that’s lacy doesn’t mean some one is going to see it. I respect myself and others, and I happen to have dignity and I command respect from the people in my life, men or women. And just because I like to wear shorts that don’t go all the way down to my knee or that I don’t cover my shoulders doesn’t mean I’m a terrible person. It means it’s frikin hot here.

However, one of my best memories is seeing the Mormon girls’ expression when they saw me and my friend’s bags from VS on our senior trip in Cali. They looked absolutely horrified. It was priceless.

And just because I don’t go to your church, it doesn’t mean I’m not pure or good. Nature is my temple. No building can compare. Live your life as you want, just don’t tell me how to live mine. And in this life, I choose to shop at VS because I like to feel sexy! So there. It’s a world of free agency; don’t take it away.

  • Perplexed - ? January 28, 2013 at 8:28 pm

Fine then Joyce, if you’re not going to satisfy this reader with an accompanying image representing the product of the company that is coming to St. George, I have to circumvent your system and add my icon: for the purpose of being helpful for understanding the gravity of the situation of a new most popular business entering our wonderful and embracing community.

Thanks again Joyce for your snappy and witty comebacks. Like Tyler says, you are awesome!

  • Dsull January 28, 2013 at 8:36 pm

I would like to say I’m excited to save the money not having to pay for my wife to drive to Vegas, but I’m sure she’ll just spend it there… Not that I’m complaining.

  • Big @$$ Bob January 28, 2013 at 10:04 pm

I’m so excited I might have to buy myself some sexy lingerie

  • Julias January 28, 2013 at 10:04 pm

A little more competition for Deseret Book in the under wear business. VS is sure to debut their new Freemason temple approved line at this new store.

  • wow January 28, 2013 at 11:31 pm

EVERY woman… girl…. needs; bras, panties, pjs, robes, sweats, perfume, lotion…. Oh my god… sounds like a Wal Mart, K Mart, Dillards, JC Penny…. for you all that are so afraid of this store, don’t go to it …. makes me wonder where you buy those panties you’re wearing… OR maybe, you don’t wear any!! ha ha ha…. it’s a store people, selling beautiful product, on beautiful models… some sexy, some functional, but all of it, feminine!

  • leenie January 29, 2013 at 4:43 am

Finally something worth going to the mall for… St George mall sucks. Victoria Secrets will definitely make it better

  • Alisha January 29, 2013 at 8:01 am

Haha, youre funny Elisabethy! I’m LDS but even I shop here. Every girl needs a good bra and underwear. Their bras are all I wore when I was pregnant…so comfy! Not to mention I love their lotions and fragrances. And who doesn’t want to feel sexy every now and again for their significant other?! I know I do!

  • Markus January 29, 2013 at 10:05 am

Mormon Military can send specific underwear to SLC to have the Freemason symbols put on them. Maybe you galls can get some new undies and send them up for marking.

    • D Rex January 29, 2013 at 4:04 pm

Doesn’t Victoria Secrets have an ‘Angels’ line of intimate underwear? What religious person would have anything against Angels?

  • lissalou January 29, 2013 at 11:00 am

Finally, a store Hubby won’t complain about me spending money in!

  • DoubleTap January 29, 2013 at 11:14 am

I am delighted that now my wife will have a better source for her sexy items. WalMart and KMart just can’t compete with VS in that department.

  • Dixie Rex January 29, 2013 at 4:00 pm

What’s the big deal about seeing women’s underwear at a store display? All over town you see women displaying their underwear whenever they bend over. I can’t count the number of times I’ve been treated to displays of thongs, whale tails, black bras, white bras, lacy bras and even no bras on my shopping trips.

I can’t believe that there are people around here who act the part of nazi morality police to the protest a clothing store. You don’t like it, then don’t shop there. Go get your boring undies at Walmart… just don’t flash your crack when bending over to get your size 14 pair of bloomers off the bottom shelf.

  • Aggravated at Prudes January 30, 2013 at 8:19 pm

LOL D Rex. Good point. And thank you Alisha, I agree. Finally we are getting a store who sells good quality bra and other under things. It’s getting so everywhere you go you find the exact same stuff with the selections getting smaller and smaller and quality getting worse and worse. I have owned bras from Walmart, etc. that lasted less than a few months whereas bras from VS last almost forever. I may not be a skinny model but I do wear these things and celebrate the fact that I no longer have to travel any kind of distance just to buy these things. Hip hip hooray for VS coming to our little town.

  • Kristen January 30, 2013 at 10:54 pm

If you don’t like Victoria secret, then don’t shop there. Just like I don’t go to your churches cause I don’t like them. It’s a simple fix. Not everyone has to live pure. You mean to tell me you’ve never dressed sexy for your husband? Poor guy.

  • TBird January 31, 2013 at 6:56 pm

Wow, some of you mean-spirited people are jumping the gun! Any old excuse you can find to make fun of and ridicule people. Store’s not even here yet but you’ve already made up scenarios. I have no problem with VS and will probably even check out their stuff. Get a grip and be nice.

    • SunnyInUtah March 8, 2013 at 12:23 pm

Nicely put. Its funny too because us “crazy LDS women” make up most of the population in this town. He He. YAY VS!!!

  • Joe mullen February 3, 2013 at 6:42 pm

Maybe these poor single guys will have something to look at know instead of those white nasty … garments.

    Ed. ellipsis

  • Nadia Lavila February 3, 2013 at 6:52 pm

Oh Please!…… Why are you Lds women complaining??Dont act like your so pure!! When everyone knows your freakier than non Lds women!

    • SunnyInUtah March 8, 2013 at 12:21 pm

We are!! (no rule or law against it either), and I dont know about anyone else but I am way excited!!!

  • criswill February 4, 2013 at 1:53 pm

    a few thoughts here:
those of you who want to disrespect mormons and their garments, you are being ignorant.
second, those mormons who treat everyone who aren’t up to your standards and speak to them condescendingly, you are also being ignorant.
can’t we treat each other with a little more respect from both sides? We aren’t in kindergarten for heaven’s sake.
thirdly, this mall in st george sucks, and if they are wanting to bring in more business so that other popular stores can come then i am all for it! it is nice to have variety. (plus it will bring more jobs!?)
also, i do love their fragrances and it will be nice to be able to get lingerie without having to drive to vegas! 🙂
though i don’t appreciate the self-objectification the victoria secret models represent in a world where women already have a hard enough time with body image, i do think that they have great bras and they have some good fragrances!
    my two cents.

    • SunnyInUtah March 8, 2013 at 12:20 pm

I agree, and thanks for pointing this out. I was reading these comments and felt like a freaking hate crime was occuring. I am so excited for this store I cant even tell you. I was just at the one in Vegas and I thought, we really need one in St. Goerge. People are just missinformed and really should stop with the generalizing. This is 2013 for hell’s sakes times have changed, even in the church.

  • MORONi February 4, 2013 at 4:57 pm

My ward is organising a protest. We are going to observe and report all activity at this immoral store to church headquarters in Salt Lake.

    • ken March 6, 2013 at 4:23 pm

      Thanks for the laugh troll!

    • Adeen March 25, 2013 at 2:40 pm

Immoral? It’s just a store. You live in a world where women like to feel confident and sexy rather than suppressed. God gave us free agency. Stop trying to take it away.

  • Sohalia March 6, 2013 at 10:36 am

WhooooooHoooooo! All I want to know is WHEN IS THE OPENING DATE? Get yer sexy on!

  • Kelligirl March 6, 2013 at 11:18 am

@Sohalia: they’re saying end of May or early June and I’m with you… WHOOOOO HOOO!!! @ the rest of you self-righteous hypocrites: Get real! If you don’t like it, don’t go there! Simple as that! For everyone else, let’s do this! 🙂

  • Dan Lester March 6, 2013 at 12:17 pm

Well, Moroni, I hope you and your Ward (if what you say is true) realize that the more you protest, the more publicity the store will get. But you certainly do have your freedom of speech and of peaceful assembly, just as they do to be in business.

    • SunnyInUtah March 8, 2013 at 12:34 pm

Im pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

  • SunnyInUtah March 8, 2013 at 12:16 pm

Alot of you are totally generalizing. I am LDS and I LOVE VS! now I dont have to drive to Vegas to get what I need (yes LDS women wear bras and we are picky about what kind) Please dont bring religion into this and group us all as judgements freaks because we are NOT all like that. You are making the assumtion that there is going to be a grand protest but what you may not realize is that LDS women make up most of this town and I can tell you that ALOT of us LOVE VS!!!

  • lovevs May 18, 2013 at 4:00 pm

this store is amazing and i agree bringing religion into this is childish
EVERY WOMAN loves to feel confident and sexy,
they have other things in this store than just sexy outfits
make up, perfume, clothes, swimming suits, hair products, tanning solutions
SOOO MUCH MORE TO THIS STORE! this town was screaming for a store like this.
it’s about damn time is what i say!
