Life flight and emergency response to Santa Clara River Reserve Saturday

SANTA CLARA – A juvenile suffered minor injuries after an accidental fall in the Santa Clara River Reserve  around 1 p.m. Saturday.

Capt. Jay Randall of Santa Clara-Ivins Public Safety said that two male juveniles were recreating in the wash of the popular hiking area when one fell and was knocked unconscious.

He was awake by the time police arrived and received a medical examination at the scene. His injuries were not life-threatening.

Life Flight was dispatched as a precautionary measure but not utilized.
