National Parks, including Zion, offer fee-free entrance for Veterans Day weekend

ZION NATIONAL PARK – This year, Veterans Day will again be celebrated as part of a fee-free weekend for all park visitors at National Park Service sites across the country. Zion National Park will offer free visitor admission in honor of U.S. veterans, active members of the U.S. armed forces and their families on Friday, November 10 to 12, 2012.

This Veterans Day weekend, Zion National Park Foundation is hosting “In the Footsteps of Thomas Moran” Plein Air Artist Invitational. The public is encouraged to come out and meet the 25 invited artists and watch them paint. Please visit the link given for full schedule of events.

The fee waiver applies to entrance fees only. Fees for commercial vehicles, tunnel escorts, camping, and wilderness permits will not be waived.
