Auditions for 2012 Dickens Festival

ST. GEORGE – The Olde World Historical Council is excited to once again announce auditions for the Dickens Christmas Festival productions of “Scrooge” and “Oliver!” Auditions will take place Saturday, Sept. 8 in the basement of the St. George Library on 100 South from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come prepared with a short monologue and to sing 16 bars of music of a song of your choice – a CD player will be available for your use.

Performances will be Nov. 28 through Nov. 30, and Dec. 1 at the Dixie Center.

Entire families are encouraged to audition. Children under 8 must have a parent or responsible sibling present during all rehearsals to participate. Actors may be cast in one or both productions.

John Kessler will be directing “Scrooge.” Rehearsals will be located in the basement of the St. George library every Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The part of Scrooge has been cast and will be performed by Jared Davis.

Matt Boutlon returns to direct “Oliver!” Rehearsals will be located in the basement of the St. George library every Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
