ST. GEORGE – The Gateway to Wellness for Kids health fair offers a fun time for families this weekend where children and parents can learn about health education through fair-styled activities.

Taking place at the St. George Town Square on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Gateway to Wellness for Kids will offer families fun and educational activities. Intermountain Gateway to Wellness will provide a unique obstacle course in support of their FUNdamentals for Kids program.  All kid-friendly activities will challenge and encourage families to stay active. Bounce houses, hula-hoops, jump roping areas, and the St. George Town Square splash pad and carousel will all give a carnival atmosphere, fun for the entire family.

Canyon Media has partnered with Intermountain Dixie Regional Medical Center to reintroduce a kid-centric health fair into the Southern Utah community. The purpose of this event is to promote health and wellness education for parents and children in the Southern Utah community by creating an interactive fair-style forum for open discussion and conversation about overall youth health.

Vendors include local pediatric health professionals, community sports programs, child development and disorder support programs, local food vendors offering healthier food options, and more.

Also available on-site will be Utah safety programs designed specifically for Southern Utah families. Safety programs include child fingerprinting kits, emergency preparedness, and proper car seat techniques.

The Gateway to Wellness for Kids event will encourage community involvement, strengthen family relationships, and help to build a better future for St. George and Southern Utah.

The event is a part of the Canyon Media Gives Back program. The program enables Canyon Media to effectively support as many organizations and causes as possible. Canyon Media believes it takes more than just caring; it takes action to build a community.
