$10,000 reward offered in Colorado City animal cruelty case

MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. – A reward of $10,000 is being offered in connection with the arrest and conviction of persons involved in the torture and death of a kitten in Colorado City.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a cat incident that was reported on May 31, in Colorado City.  Initially, property owners rescued the cat from being encased in cement, but the cat succumbed to the injuries a few days later.

The Sheriff’s Officer is partnering with animal advocate organizations in an attempt to determine the person or persons responsible for the incident.

The organizations providing the reward money are:

  • Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah                          $5,000
  • Humane Society of the United States                                        $2,500
  • PETA                                                                                                       $2,500

The reward money being offered is for the arrest and conviction of person/persons involved in the torture and death of the kitten in Colorado City.
