Intermountain Healthcare hosts free health and wellness workshop

ST. GEORGE – Come collaborate with health and wellness experts on May 22 at 7:30 a.m. about effective and valuable ways to incorporate workplace safety and wellness into your business. This free event will be held in the Foremaster Auditorium, located at 1424 Foremaster Drive, and is open to the public.

Studies have shown that healthy employees are more productive, have fewer sick days and work injuries than unhealthy employees. The first step to creating a workplace wellness initiative is to gather information, find out what others are doing, and learn how to create a health and safety operating plan based on the needs of your company. This workshop is an opportunity to engage with other local businesses to find out what is working, how to improve or even where to begin incorporating a wellness initiative into your workplace.

The discussion will be facilitated by Locke Ettinger, director of Gateway to Wellness and is sponsored by Dixie Regional Gateway to Wellness and the Healthy Dixie Council. A complimentary healthful breakfast will be provided.
