ST. GEORGE – Local St. George Police officer Jarad Carson will test his skills once again as a professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter, tonight at the Dixie Center, as the Crown Fighting Championships hold one of Southern Utah’s premier MMA events.

Carson will be fighting in the main event against Pro Elite Fighter Jake Huen in the CFC No. 6.

“We have the best fight card we have ever had with fighters coming in from all over Utah and Las Vegas. All the fighters are going to be putting on a great show, CFC ring announcer Max said. “And the main event should be a great battle.”

Tonight’s co-main event pits veteran Danny “Dee” 1 Davis, Jr., against Mario Espinoza.

“Im going knock (Espinoza) out if he wants to stand toe-to-toe with me,” Davis said at the pre-fight weigh in, “but if he wants to take it to the ground, I’m ready for that too.”

Davis is looking to improve his Pro-MMA record of 6-6-1.

Other fighters on the www.crownfights.com fight card that call St. George home include: Francisco Cervera, Ryan Phillips, Deandra Marshall, Brandon Hart, Jared Painter, Kevin Hamby, and Cris Rogers.

Doors open at 6 p.m., fights begin at 7 p.m. Ticket information and further detail available here on the Dixie Center’s website and on the Crown Fights website.

Danny “Dee 1” Davis had his butt handed to him by Espinoza. Great fight…great event overall.

St. George police officer Jarad Carson also had his butt whipped as well by Jake Huen. Team Fusion (St. George MMA team) didn’t fare so well this time around. Maybe at CFC7 in September. Sad to say that Team Fusion fighters also had their share of delivering “low blows” to their opponents also. Hope it gets “cleaned” up by September. Vegas fighters put on the major portion of the show. Great fights overall.
