Human caused Anasazi fire burning; story with periodic updates here

IVINS – A human-caused fire on wildlands just south of Highway 91 in the Anasazi Valley ignited around 3:27 p.m. today.

At 5:30 p.m. fire investigators estimate the burn at 6 acres, no homes are threatened and there are no road closures.

Nick Howell, designated Anasazi Fire Information Officer, said that various Color Country Interagency resources are responding, including a helicopter en route to support ground crews, a couple fire engines and federal resources.
