Bulletin: UDOT Weekly for I-15 Dixie Drive, Cedar Canyon and Wildlife Fencing

SOUTHERN UTAH-  Utah Department of Transportion has scheduled the following construction related activity In Washington and Iron Counties this week, March 30 – April 8.

St. George – I-15 Dixie Drive Interchangein the area of and near Interstate Highway 15, Mileposts 5 and 6:

Activity:

* Barrier Installation.

* Applying polymer overlays on structures.

* Hanging signs.

* Installing lighting and signals.

* Island work on the interchange structure.

* I-15 median work.

* Dixie Drive drainage.

Impact:

* Tuesday afternoon, March 27, Dixie Drive traffic will be moved off the new alignment and channeled to Hilton Drive.

* The intersection at Indian Hills and Hilton Drive will be open. There will be two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane on Hilton Drive.

* Bluff Street interchange traffic merges into the I-15 work zone.

* Southbound through-traffic can aid in the Bluff Street merge by staying in the left lane

* I-15 Southbound traffic crosses median to the east side of corridor.

* Bluff Street interchange traffic merges into the I-15 work zone.

* I-15 speed is reduced to 55 m.p.h.

* The Hilton Drive Trail is closed.

Proposed Bluff Street project – what property owners can expect

Cedar Canyon. – on state Route 14, in the area of Mileposts 7-18.

Activity:

* Excavating.

* Stream channel work at wet end of the main slide area.

Impact:

* SR-14 is closed from Milepost 5 to Deer Valley.

* Access Duck Creek via state Route 143 and Mammoth Creek Road or via U.S. Route 89 to SR-14.

Activity:

* Fence installation.

* Wildlife ramp preparation.

Impact:

* No major impacts expected.
