SOUTHERN UTAH – A Winter Weather Advisory for Central and Southern Utah mountains is in effect from 7 p.m. today through 11 p.m. Wednesday. Snow and wind are predicted.
• Snow and blowing snow: 7-14” of snow accumulation.
• Winds: North winds of 25-35 mph with gusts in excess of 50 mph are expected across exposed upper elevation areas during the day Wednesday.
• Roads and Highways Impacted: Heavy snow primarily along the summit areas along I-15 and 70 near the Cove Fort area and SR-20 and 143. Strong winds and heavy at times snowfall are expected to create significant blowing and drifting of new snow across SR-143 Wednesday.
• Wind and snow, be careful out there – and mind your creatures.
