SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz ended a four game losing streak last night beating the Houston Rockets 104-83 at Energy Solutions Arena.
C.J. Miles dropped 27 points off the bench the day after the Jazz put him on the trading block. Devin Harris also added 19 points and was also put on the trading block yesterday.
A couple of Jazz players who were put on the trading block yesterday led the way for the Jazz. Point guard Devin Harris scored 19 points and C.J. Miles added a career high 27 points off the bench. Both players were mentioned in trade talk yesterday.
The Jazz improve to 16-18 on the season with a huge home game upcoming on Friday night against Lebron James and the Miami Heat.
The Jazz played a very balanced team game last night against the Rockets with five players in double figures.
The Jazz fans also saw DaMarre Carroll for the first time in a Jazz uniform and Slam Dunk Champion, Jeremy Evans, playing a career high 22 minutes last night. Carroll scored 2 points Evens scored 4 points but also added seven rebounds and three huge blocks.
Al Jefferson and Josh Howard each added 14 points for the Jazz. Jefferson pulled down another double-double grabbing 10 rebounds. Gordon Hayward chipped in 10 points on the night as well.
The month of February was the month we were supposed to find out of what this Jazz team was made.
The Jazz came into the month 12-7 and in fifth place in the Western Conference. The Jazz head into March, 16-18, and find themselves out of the playoff race in 11th place in the Western Conference.
February did not show the Jazz any love, with the Jazz going 4-11.
March looks just as scary for the Jazz with games against the Heat, the defending champion Dallas Mavericks, the Chicago Bulls, the Lakers and the No. 1 team in the Western Conference the Oklahoma City Thunder, to name a few.
The Jazz are back in action Friday at 7 p.m.
