Coach shuttle service takes the hassle out of Parade of Homes

WASHINGTON COUNTY – The St. George Area 22nd Annual Parade of Homes begins tomorrow.  The City of St. George and St. George Shuttle have collaborated to provide Tour Coach service to Paraders, in zones reaching all of the homes. Here’s what you need to know:

Tour Coaches (each seating 25-30 people) will run three times a day on Friday – Monday, Feb. 17-20, and again on Friday – Sunday, Feb. 24-26, departing at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. from the former St. George Municipal Airport
located at 620 S. Airport Rd., in St. George.

The shuttle tickets cost $25 and are good for any days of the Parade that the service runs.

Service areas are divided into five zones, each taking about three hours to cover. Thus, logistically, two zones may be covered in a day.

Shuttle Tickets may be purchased and booked directly on the St. George Shuttle website, by telephone to St. George Shuttle at 435-628-8320, by visiting the St. George Shuttle office at 790 S Bluff St., St. George, or at the point of departure at the old airport.  They may also be purchased at the Red Cliffs Mall and any Lin’s Grocery store, where Parade Tickets are being sold.

Seating is subject to availability, so parading shuttlers are urged to purchase tickets and book their zones early and to arrive at least 15 minutes early of departure time.

Those with children 5 and younger must provide their own car seat / booster seat to ride, the seats may be left on the tour bus while visiting the homes.

Parade tickets cost $12.50 and go on sale this evening at the Red Cliffs Mall and Lin’s markets.  The St. George Shuttle office on Bluff Street also has a small number of Parade tickets available for sale until they run out.  Cost of parade tickets is separate from cost of the Shuttle’s coach tour service for the Parade. Note that Parade Tickets are not being sold up at the old airport where the coach shuttle service departs, although you may purchase your shuttle tickets there (subject to seating availability), you must already have your Parade ticket with you.

The Dogfather will be vending hot dogs, chips and drinks at the tour’s point of departure at the old airport. Thus, shuttling paraders can grab a meal as they depart or shift coaches for a second zone.  Restrooms will also be available there.
