St. George man arrested on multiple counts of prescription fraud and forgery

ST. GEORGE – A 25-year-old St. George man was arrested and booked on 10 counts of fraud to obtain a prescription and 10 counts of forgery on Dec. 16.

The St. George Police Department was called to the Lin’s Pharmacy at 1930 W. Sunset Blvd. on a prescription forgery.  Officers met with the pharmacy manager who stated that their pharmacies as well as numerous others in town had been receiving fraudulent prescriptions for amphetamine-dextroamphetamine” from the same individual.  Officers were able to make contact with multiple other pharmacies who confirmed also receiving fraudulent prescriptions from the same person.

Officers gathered information about the suspect and were able to locate him at his residence.  He admitted to forging and passing multiple fraudulent prescriptions.  The man had passed the 10 fraudulent prescriptions between September 2011 and December 2011.

He was transported and booked into the Washington County Jail.
