ST. GEORGE – The St. George Police Department responded to the report of a robbery at 54 E. 300 S. on Dec. 11, at 9:10 p.m.

An adult female was at the above residence checking in on her 100-year-old mother. She said a masked male entered the residence through an unlocked front door, stood in the entryway, waived a handgun around, and demanded she get on the floor. The suspect did not point the gun at anyone directly and did not make any other demands. When the female refused to get on the floor and told the robber to get out of her house, he fled the area on foot.

Officers circulated the area, canvassed the complex, and contacted citizens for potential witnesses.  The suspect was not located.

Police arrived on the scene one minute after the call was made.

The suspect was described as an adult white male, between 30 and 40 years old, approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall, and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. He had short dark hair, wore blue jeans and a dark, possibly maroon, colored jacket. He had a red bandanna fashioned as a mask around the lower part of his face. He spoke in clear, unaccented English.

The scene was processed for evidence by officers on scene.  There were no injuries associated with the incident and no property was stolen or damaged.

Anyone who may have information regarding this robbery is asked to contact the St. George Police Department at (435) 627-4300 or e-mail a tip at the St. George Police website
