‘Home is where the Art is’ fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity’s ‘Home for the Holidays’

ST. GEORGE – Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah is providing an opportunity for you to Make a Difference in the lives of a local family and help raise funds to build a “Home for the Holidays.”

On Saturday, Nov. 5, the organization will hold its Second Annual “Home Is Where the Art Is” silent art auction featuring local artisans.   This event will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Astoria at Green Valley, 567 South Valley View Drive in St George. Light music and refreshments will be provided.  Tickets are available for $15 at the ReStore (address below) or by calling (435) 674-7669.

Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah is a non-profit, ecumenical housing ministry that relies on donations and fundraising to bring a family “Home for the Holidays.” Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah has provided housing for 80 people in Washington County and 13 families internationally since the affiliate was established in 1998.   Each house built, each family served, each life forever changed starts with one person like you who decided to “Make a Difference.”

This organization is not a giveaway program.   In addition to a down payment and monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest hundreds of hours into building their Habitat house.

You can assist in the success of this fundraising event in a variety of ways.  We  invite you to attend, bring friends and family to enjoy the evening, purchase your favorite pieces for yourself or as a gift for someone special, donate a piece for the art auction or sponsor the event.  Art donations will be accepted at Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah’s ReStore at 267 East 1400 South in St George.  The phone number is (435) 674-7669 for information.
