Officers arrest driver of I-15 semi that landed on Red Cliffs Drive

ST. GEORGE – The driver of a semi carrying produce lost control of his vehicle on I-15 this evening and has been arrested.

At approximately 6 p.m., while heading northbound on the Interstate, the driver lost control of his tractor-trailer near Milepost 8.5 and careened off the Interstate onto Red Cliffs Drive.

There were no injuries and no other vehicles involved in the incident.

Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Dan Altenes said the driver was arrested forĀ  possession of controlled substance, marijuana, paraphernalia and is being tested for being under the influence of controlled substance.

Persons arrested are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
