Citizens lead police to stolen pest control truck; man arrested on drug charges

ST. GEORGE – A 26-year-old St. George man was arrested on Sunday and charged with multiple counts of drug possession, possession of stolen property and possession of a weapon.

Thanks to tips received from the public, officers were able to zero in on the suspect’s home and conduct the arrest.

Lt. David Moss, head of the Washington County Drug Task, said the tips related to the theft of a Southern Utah pest control truck several weeks ago. Within the truck were a number of mattresses and a knife, all of which for found at the suspect’s home. Marijuana and amphetamines were also discovered along with the stolen property.

The suspect is being held at Purgatory Correctional Facility.

* Persons accused are presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.

    As new St George Pest Control business owner I just had to buy a new truck and the equipment, so i could only imagine if someone had stolen my equipment.
