ZION NATIONAL PARK – Zion Lodge in Southern Utah’s Zion National Park will again offer its “Fall into Great Prices” rates Nov. 1 through Nov. 30. Rates drop as much as 35 percent off the regular-season rates.

The “Fall into Great Prices” rates include breakfast for two and lodging for one night. For stays Sunday through Thursday nights, rates begin at $130 per night for motel rooms, $140 for Western cabins and $150 for suites. Rates are slightly higher on Fridays and Saturdays. The rates do not include taxes and are not available Nov. 24-26.

“The fall color changes typically begin in late October and can be enjoyed throughout the month of November,” said Trina Smith, general manager of the Zion Lodge.

“November is a great month to visit Zion National Park,” she said. “Guests are often surprised to find such vibrant colors when they thought the fall leaf-watching season had already ended.”

Temperatures are usually in the mid-60s during the day and drop to the high-30s in the evening. “We host many serious hikers during the month of November,” said Smith. “Not only is the temperature extremely pleasant for strenuous outdoor activities but there are also far fewer visitors than there are in the summer.”

The historic Western Cabins at Zion Lodge were recently renovated and restored to their original look. Built in 1927, the 40 cabins are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Changes included refinishing the cabins’ original fir flooring and adding custom-designed replica furniture.

Zion Lodge offers 81 rooms, 40 cabins, and a restaurant, café and gift shop. The park is renowned for its sightseeing and hiking and is open year round. Most hiking trails are open throughout the winter.
