Game Preview: Desert Hills at Snow Canyon

ST. GEORGE – The Desert Hills Thunder (5-0, 3-0) are tied for first place in Region 9 and for the first time ever they are ranked in the top five in 3A and top 25 in the state all divisions. Tonight they travel to Snow Canyon High School to take on the Snow Canyon Warriors (2-4, 1-2), who need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The Thunder have a huge game against the No. 1 ranked Hurricane Tigers next week in a game that could decide the Region champion. Thunder fans have to hope the Warriors don’t catch them looking ahead to next week’s big game.

Look for running back Mike Needham and quarterback Porter Harris to have big games on the ground against a struggling Warrior run defense that has given up 725 rushing yards in the last two weeks.

Warrior quarterback Brayden Linde will look to build off of his fourth quarter performance from last week where he threw for two late touchdowns.

The Thunder have the best defense in the Region and have only given more then two touchdowns once all season.
