ST. GEORGE – The Pine View Panthers (2-5, 0-4) and the Canyon View Falcons (2-4, 0-3) are both winless in Region 9 play and look to get their first win tonight at Pine View High School at 7 p.m..
The Panthers have no chance of getting into the playoffs but still have lots of pride for which to play. Three of the four Panther losses in Region play have been by seven points or less. The Panthers have given up 35 points in three of the four Region losses. On a positive note the Panthers have gained more yards then any other team in the Region.
The Panthers are second in the Region in both rushing and passing, trailing Hurricane and Dixie respectively.
Look for the Panther defense to pick it up against the struggling Falcon offense. The Falcons have only scored 76 points all season averaging 12.7 points per game. On the other side of the ball, the Panthers are struggling as well giving up 30.3 points per game.
