ST. GEORGE – Keith Dunn, who pled not guilty of abusing his 87-year-old grandmother in June, may have come to a plea agreement.
During a pretrial hearing yesterday in the Fifth District Court, the case was moved to a resolution hearing set for Oct. 4, although a trial date was originally set for Oct. 27.
While prosecuting attorney Ryan Shaum was unavailable for comment, Washington County attorney Brock Belnap said that a resolution of the case was a good indicator of the likelihood a plea agreement had been reached. However, Belnap added that a resolution could mean a number of things aside from a plea deal.
Dunn’s grandmother was lifeflighted after seeking treatment at Dixie Regional Medical Center back in June. Dunn has denied any wrongdoing.
