PHOENIX, Ariz. – Earning Top 10 Honor Roll accolades from the Pacific West Conference, on release of its weekly soccer reports, are Dixie State College senior Whitley Davis, junior Tyler Albretsen and sophomore Tyler Walters .

Davis assisted on the final two goals in the Red Storm’s 3-0 victory last Monday against Colorado Christian.

DSC went 1-1 on the week – a win over CCU and a 3-0 loss to Cal Baptist in non-conference match.

Albretsen and Walters both played crucial parts in Dixie State’s 1-0 road win at Grand Canyon on Saturday to open Pac West play. Albretsen punched in a rebound to score the game’s lone goal, propelling the Red Storm to its first victory at Grand Canyon. Walters stopped all nine shots he faced on goal to ensure the shutout win.

A pair of Cal Baptist players earned conference Player of the Week. Amanda Lammers had two goals and an assist in a 5-0 win over Academy of Art. Michael Salazar had three goals over two games helping the Lancers to a 2-0-0 week.

The Red Storm return home for its regular-season home opener on Friday against the Urban Knights of AAU. Women play at 4:30 p.m. and the men play at 7 p.m.
