ST. GEORGE – A man accused of abusing his elderly grandmother pleaded not guilty in court yesterday.

Keith Dunn pleaded not guilty of aggravated abuse of a vulnerable adult during yesterday’s arraignment. A jury trial has been set for Oct. 17.

Dunn is accused of causing serious injuries to his 87-year-old grandmother on June 26. St. George Police were called to Dixie Regional Medical Center where an elderly woman was seeking treatment for injuries that appeared to be suspicious.

After an investigation, officers arrested Dunn, who had been living with her as her caretaker. The woman was life flighted to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray due to a head injury.

A press release from the police department previously stated the grandson was interviewed and denied assaulting his grandmother.  He said she sustained the injuries from falling down.
