ST. GEORGE – St. George police made three arrests yesterday after receiving a tip that two suspects had been involved in numerous home and vehicle burglaries.

Capt. James Van Fleet said the arrests came after a search warrant was conducted on a home where two brothers resided. During the search, officers found stolen property that linked the suspects to several home and vehicle burglaries in the area.

“We’re pleased that the hard work got them off the streets,” Van Fleet said. “Hopefully this will reduce some of the burglaries that we’ve been having.”

Van Fleet said officers are in the process of returning the stolen property to the owners. During the search, officers also found drug paraphernalia in the home. A third man in the home was arrested on a warrant.

* Persons accused are presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law.
