VEYO– Another marijuana grow was eradicated today in a remote area of Washington County on the General Steam Road northwest of Veyo.

The Washington County Drug Task Force along with the Drug Enforcement Administration , Washington County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, Utah Department of Public Safety, U.S. Forest Service, St. George SWAT Team, and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, worked to remove 7,731 marijuana plants from the area. No arrests were made, as the site appeared to have been abandoned.

The Task Force would like to thank the citizens of Washington County for their vigilance and concern in reporting suspicious activity when they see it.  This eradication was the result of a tip received by the Task Force.

This was a great success for all of the agencies involved. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office  would like to thank all of those assisting the operation.
