HURRICANE – A nine-year-old girl from Hurricane is in critical condition in a Nevada hospital after the pickup truck she was riding in rolled several times, ejecting most of the occupants from the vehicle.
The Lahontan Valley News in Fallon, Nev., reported that Lynn Haas, 42, of Hurricane drifted off the road on U.S. Highway 50, overcorrected several times, and then rolled the vehicle. Three of the four passengers were ejected. The Nevada Highway Patrol told the Lahontan that no one was wearing a seat belt.
The passengers in the 2004 Dodge Ram 4-door cab were reported as his two daughters Cassidy, 16, and Aspen, 9; his niece Hannah Haas, 14, and a family friend, Tanya Armstrong, 15.
Aspen was reportedly taken by Care Flight to a Nevada hospital. The other passengers were treated by paramedics and transported to a community hospital.
