2011 Washington County Firework Guide

SOUTHERN UTAH-The Utah State firework regulations have changed for the 2011 summer season.  All Washington County cities uphold the state’s restrictions and some have added a few of their own restrictions.

* Washington City– No aerial fireworks are allowed, and fireworks can only be discharged in certain areas. The designated areas are Pine View Park and the Washington City ball Fields. Call 673-4788 for more information.
* St. George– No restrictions beyond the state law, which can be found at publicsafety.utah.gov/firemarshal or call the city fire department at 627-4150.
* Santa Clara- No restrictions beyond the state law. Call 652-1122 or visit publicsafety.utah.gov/firemarshal for more information.
* La Verkin– No aerial fireworks are allowed, and fireworks can only be discharged in certain areas. The designated areas are Wanlas Park and Vintage Park. Also allow at least 100 feet of space from any hillside.
*Hurricane– No aerial fireworks are allowed, and fireworks can only be discharged at the ball field, 200 W and 750 N.
*Toquerville– Fireworks can be discharged in designated areas only.  The Toquerville City Park and the ball fields are considered the designated areas.
*Leeds– No restrictions beyond the state law.  Call 879-2881 for more information.
*Springdale/Rockville – Fireworks should be discharged on July 4th at the Springdale town park from 9 p.m. to midnight where crews will be on hand in case of emergency.
*Unincorporated Areas of Washington County– Including Veyo, Brookside, Central, Mountain Meadows, Pine Valley, Gunlock, Winchester Hills, Diamond Valley, Dammeron Valley. No fireworks or open flames are allowed in these areas.
