ST. GEORGE – Officers are searching for a man who is suspected of attempted kidnapping.
A press release from the St. George Police Department stated officers responded to the area of 500 N Hope at 2:30 p.m. after a female juvenile reported that a man tried to grab her near his vehicle. The child was able to run away and tell her parents.
The child described the suspect as a male, approximately 5’9” tall, heavy build with a bald head and a beard. The man had visible tattoos on his face, arms and legs. She said the man had a red tattoo on his elbow and a gun tattoo near his wrist on the same arm.
The male was seen leaving the area in a brown, four-door, older model passenger car.
The St. George Police Department requests any person with information on the identity of the male or the passenger car to contact them at 435-627-4300.
