St. George Woman Arrested on 10 Counts of Sex Abuse of a Minor

St. George Women Arrested for Sex Abuse of Child
Sunni Faith Andersen
ST. GEORGE – A 36-year-old St. George woman was arrested yesterday on five counts of forcible sex abuse and five counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
Officer Johnny Heppler said the arrest stems from an investigation after authorities were alerted that Suni Andersen had been involved in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old minor. Andersen allegedly began the relationship when the boy was 14, he said.
Neighbors say Andersen is a semi-pro boxer. Heppler said the relationship allegedly occurred when the boy would go to Andersen’s home for fitness training sessions.
“The relationship started when his personal fitness trainer … made sexual advances toward him,” Heppler said in a press release. “Eventually, Suni allegedly began engaging in sexual encounters with the young male. The meetings would occur at her residence during his fitness training sessions. These encounters continued over a period of time.”
The St. George Police Department Investigations Division and the Department of Child and Family Services investigated this case jointly.
