ST. GEORGE – SunRiver made the Top 50 Best Master-Planned Communities by Retire Magazine.
In a press release released this week, SunRiver in St. George was included in the best places to retire in the July/August issue, scheduled to hit newsstands on June 21.
According to the release, research began a year ago when editors gathered information on over 150 communities, and narrowed it down based on areas that are amenity-rich with clubhouses, recreation and activities and places where residents stay fully engaged.
“Like the people who inhabit them, no two master-planned developments are exactly alike,” said Where to Retire publisher Karen Northridge. “Yet, the combination of amenities and social opportunities at each produces a common result: the interesting, active and fulfilling lifestyle retirees seek. Clubhouses, fitness centers, social clubs and educational classes mean residents get much more than a house at a planned community.”
The choice of neighborhoods runs the gamut in price, from those featuring manufactured homes starting in the $80,000s to developments where site-built, single-family homes begin in the mid-$400,000s. Just over half the developments are active-adult communities, where residents must meet minimum age requirements, the press release stated.
