Jen, he is not a “St George man”, he’a an illegal alien and timid writers such as you are the reason that this issue is festering.
Get a spine, write the facts and we & our society shall benefit.

Timid? I don’t think so. This man was living in St. George. He was not arrested because of his status in the country. Whether they determined after his arrest by ICE that he is here illegally I do not know because it was not part of the interview where there are limited facts known or given to media so quickly after an arrest and before a full investigation.

How do you know he’s an illegal?? I have a Latino name as well, you gonna accuse me of being illegal. I’m third generation born in America, who’s father fought in Vietnam. I dare anyone to call me an illegal alien to my face.

No where in this article does it state that he is an illegal alien. I too have a latino surname and am a 4th generation American of hispanic descent. A Vietnam veteran and a retired California LEO to boot. So just because I have a hispanic surname does not make me an illegal alien either. However, should this individual turn out to be an illegal alien, he deserves to be deported AFTER he is finished with his sentence for this crime. Rest assured that should this individual be convicted, hw will also have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life if he is legal to remain here in this country. I personnaly have no love lost for child molesters of ANY race and they deserve to be prosecuted to fullest extent of the law. The reporter of this story could only report on what was released by the SGPD at the time. SGNews is merely the “messenger” and should not be ridiculed on a personal level. If people are truelly not interested in the story and only want to attack a reporter, they should find an alternate source of news that are to their liking.

And I’m also hecka proud of my Latino heritage too, and I will not “wash” it out either just so people will stop judging me as a gangster or a thug or whatever. I’m a good kid who has NEVER had a run in with the law, not even a SPEEDING TICKET! But I get judged all the time because I’m brown and I supposedly “dress like a gangster” whatever that means. And I have a certain “swag” but that’s just how I am, I’m not a thug at all. I’m also proud to be an American and of my father for fighting in Vietnam. So I’m proud of both my heritages, Latino and American.

He takes residence in St. George so he is therefore a St. George man. That’s a fact. He may originally be from elsewhere (just like I am), but St. George is now home to him (legal or not).

Do you know this man or are you just assuming he’s illegal because of his name?
