Officers Make Arrests in St. George Vehicle Burglaries

ST. GEORGE – An 18-year-old Washington woman was arrested over the weekend for allegedly participating in a string of vehicle burglaries.

Officer Johnny Heppler said the burglaries occurred in late April in the Morningside Area, approximately 900 South and 700 East. A laptop, several credit cards and a handgun were stolen in the burglaries.

Detective Dave Moss said the arrest stemmed from a drug investigation. A St. George man was arrested on drug distribution charges in May. As detectives investigated the man for allegedly dealing marijuana, they found several stolen credit cards and the stolen handgun. Detectives traced those back to the vehicle burglaries.

Moss said through the investigation, they found out the 18-year-old woman was also involved and had been actively searching for her for the last month.
