ST. GEORGE – The fifth annual Southern Utah Fish-n-Fun takes place on June 4, 2011 at Sand Hollow Reservoir at 8 a.m.
The Fish-n-Fun event provides the opportunity for 50 special-needs people a rare fishing experience under the guidance of professional bass anglers.
Steve and Sarah Miller of Cedar City organize the event to share anglers’ enthusiasm and enjoyment of sport fishing with special-needs people.
Steve Miller said, “The anglers end up being the ones who receive the most benefit from the event. When witnessing how much fun and excitement the special needs participants express, especially after catching a fish, the anglers walk away from the event touched.”
Miller said he appreciates Sand Hollow Reservoir, sponsoring businesses and event volunteers who have helped to make Fish-n-Fun a growing event.
I am currently organizing a similar event in Michigan. I would like to communicate with someone and get some ideas.
