Three Arrested for Burglary, Alleged Kidnapping

ST. GEORGE – Officers arrested three St. George residents after a traffic stop led to the investigation of an alleged kidnapping and recent burglary.

Officer Johnny Heppler said just before midnight Feb. 7, officers pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation. While on the traffic stop, a 38-year-old female from St. George told officers she had been assaulted earlier in the night by one of the males in the vehicle and had wanted to leave but was forced to stay.

While investigated the alleged assault and kidnapping, officers discovered burglary tools in the vehicle and $5,000 worth of stolen property. An investigation led officers to believe that the other three occupants in the vehicle, two adult males and one adult female, had recently caused $10,000 worth of damage while stealing copper wire.

The three were charged with various felony charges of conspiracy, burglary, theft, criminal mischief and kidnapping.
