Two taken to DRMC after traffic accident in Washington

WASHINGTON CITY – A Toyota Tundra traveling southbound on 3050 South in Washington City struck a sedan turning out of the Albertsons parking lot.
 
According to Dennis Bailey, Division Chief of the Washington City Police Department, the sedan turned out of the Albertsons parking lot and was struck by a Toyota Tundra traveling southbound on 3050 South.
 
“It’s a pretty simple accident,” Bailey said. “(The driver of the car) either didn’t see or didn’t have enough room.”
 
According to Sergeant Jason Williams with the Washington City Police Department, a female passenger in the sedan suffered neck and back injuries. He also noted that the female driver of the sedan had existing injuries from a previous accident before the incident tonight. Both females were transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center, where their injuries will be treated.
 
There were no other injuries. Both vehicles are damaged.
 
“It’s a minor accident with property damage and minor injuries,” Bailey said.
 
The Washington City Police Department took statements from drivers of both vehicles.
