I know I have talked about this area before but I can't emphasize what a diamond in the rough this place is.  
 
Beaver Mountain, the Tushar Mountain range, has just opened a new Ski Resort.  It used to be where Elk Meadows Ski resort was. It is called Eagle Point Resort.  
 
I went up there over the weekend to check it out and see what it was all about.  It has only been open over a month and already they are having great success.  The snow is so deep and so perfect right now. They have a tubing hill, a half pipe, and several runs for skiing and snow boarding.  
 
My favorite part was the Canyonside Lodge.  It is all brand-new and state of the art.  It has a very good restaurant inside called The Outpost Grill.  I had a very nice dinner and even met the executive chef and one of the resort owners. 

All I can say is, you need to check them out and make a trip up there.  They have big plans to continue growing and adding new things, including summer concerts, mountain bike runs, and much, much more.
