Three vehicles involved in accident near Outlets at Zion, Chili's

ST. GEORGE – Three vehicles were involved in a car accident today near the Outlets at Zion when a female driving a vehicle equipped for handicapped access hit two other vehicles.
Sgt. Craig Harding said a couple was parked in a handicapped parking spot at the outlet mall, the passenger was handicapped and had a vehicle equipped for his disability, when the vehicle “zoomed across the parking lot and struck a parked car.”
Harding said the driver then went across Red Cliffs Drive and hit a vehicle driving northbound. That driver was taken to the hospital.
The female driver then continued to Chili’s, jumping the curb, and then maneuvered a hard right turn before stopping in a grassy area just before a chain link fence that blocks Interstate-15.
Harding said it was unclear if something was wrong with the vehicle the female was driving and more information will be available later.
