A semi truck crashed into a hill just south of Cedar City on Interstate 15, completely stopping southbound traffic for nearly an hour.
It is assumed that the heavy snowstorm, stretching from Salt Lake City to Leeds, contributed to the accident. Roads remain very slick with snow.
The highway patrol, Iron County sheriff, Hurricane and New Harmony fire and rescue and an ambulance responded to the accident at mile marker 26.
Many St. George residents are currently driving home from northern Utah after the Thanksgiving holiday. Drivers should exercise extreme caution on the roads.
