ST. GEORGE – The Dixie State College of Utah Athletics and Student Services Departments will hold mascot tryouts Dec. 9, at 3 p.m.
 
The tryouts will be held in the Burns Arena on the campus of Dixie State College, 400 South and 800 East. Each interested contestant should be prepared to discuss their vision and be able to demonstrate their skills in motivating a crowd with a 2-3 minute routine.
 
The winning contestant will receive a stipend of $1,000 per semester as well as scholarship assistance to help with textbooks.
