Brothers Boyd and Dell Stout started the family business back in the ‘60s and have since passed it down to their posterity, who have in turn continued to provide furnishing for Washington, Iron and Kane County residents.

“We are an old store with old clients,” said Jed Stout, grandson of Boyd Stout and the store manager.

Jed Stout began his career in the family business at the age of 12, pulling weeds around the store;  and has seen growth over the years which have included moving into a their new location to  provided larger floor space to display their line of furniture.

“Keeping our pencils sharp” he says is what has made Stout Home Furnishing so successful. He said that by doing good business and keeping debt at a minimum, the family business is able pass those saving to customers.

The store offers opportunities for customers to save on their purchases besides the many sales events throughout the year. Becoming a friend on Facebook enables a customer to save an extra 5 percent on purchases. Simply come into the store and mention that you’re a fan on Facebook and you will receive the discount, Jed Stout said. 

Another way to save is to subscribe to the company’s newsletter from their website and receive additional savings not offered to the public. Subscribers will also be automatically entered into all drawings that take place at the store.
