Don’t miss the red carpet event

Rachel’s Coffee in Washington is the hottest place to be tonight as Dixie Press hosts the inaugural red carpet event. Dixie Press, Southern Utah’s newest local newspaper, will be hosting an annual party with this year being their Grand Opening. Future events will be a benefit party for local non-profits.
 
Tonight’s event will feature an actual red carpet and free valet for guests. Those attending will have their photo taken by professional photographer Robert Hoppie, Action Sports, in front of a Hollywood-style backdrop made by Fastsigns, while they try on Gucci and Prada sunglasses from Dixie Optical.
 
Jen and Chanda from the Dixie Press Radio Show, who will also be emcees at this year’s Mrs. Utah pageant in Provo, will be emcees of the event with music provided by Festival Sounds. Jen and Chanda will have Dixie Press trivia questions every hour for a chance to win great prizes like one round of golf at Green Springs provided by St. George Events.
 
From 5 to 5:30 p.m. two members of !nverted will perform live. Country music star Eric Dodge will be there to mingle with guests and give a signed autographed CD to one lucky fan. At 7 p.m. Jen Watkins and Big Kickin’ Country radio personality Reba Rocket will present the Awards Ceremony.
 
Awards will be given to the reporter with the most loyal following and award-winning story, among others. Everyone in attendance will have the chance to be awarded great prizes like gift certificates from 25 Main, Ahis, Golden Corral and Adventure World Academy, provided by St. George Events. Walmart provided a wireless mouse and USB 4-port HUB, as well as coffee mugs and chocolate. JT Willis Travel is providing a gift bag that includes a $25 gift certificate towards your next vacation.
 
And guests will enjoy all this while tasting some great snacks from “Ure” Personal Chef.
 
The party starts tonight from 4 to 8 p.m. at Rachel’s Coffee, 471 W Telegraph, Washington, located in the Old Town and Country next to Walmart.
