Three arrested in St. George on prostitution charges

ST. GEORGE – Two Las Vegas residents and one Washington City resident were arrested this weekend after detectives learned that a female was working as a prostitute, allegedly operating out of a local motel on the Boulevard.

Lt. David Moss with the Washington County Drug and Gang Task Force said the task force received a call that the female from Las Vegas was working in St. George.

“In the course of our investigation, we were able to get elements of solicitation on her part,” Moss said.

Moss said a male from Las Vegas was also arrested for aiding in prostitution.
“We determined through motel records that he bought the room for her and brought her up from Vegas to do this,” Moss said.

During the arrest, a male from Washington City called the female and then arrived at the hotel. Moss said the male offered to pay for sexual activity and was subsequently arrested.
