Per invitation of Dixie Press on Facebook – here are some photos of the Hallelujah Hikers to Elephant Arch . . . with our mascot, Toby The Wonder Dog!
We LOVE Elephant Arch – our advisories we would like to add to those that would tromp this one are: 1) Pretty long tromp through soft red sand to get all the way in and out; 2) Hot months, take extra water and start early – not a lot of shade until you get all the way in . . and you have to go back (we started around 7 a.m. and finished around 11 a.m.); 3) Eric mentions lizards and tortoises – but we saw some LARGE and VERY LARGE "cat" paw prints in dried mud flats we walked across . . . here kitty kitty kitty?
