Warriors net win over Thunder

ST. GEORGE – The steam train that is the Snow Canyon volleyball team rolled into the Desert Hills gym Tuesday night and left with their perfect record intact. The Warriors (9-0) and their No. 1 4A state ranking only seemed to be moderately tested against the 3A No. 2 state ranked Thunder.

The Thunder (9-6) played well and appeared to have the Warriors frustrated at times during the three-set match.

The Warriors would overcome their frustrations and beat Desert Hills 25-18, 25-16, 25-22.

Snow Canyon's Ciara Parker led the way with 27 assists. Senior Taylor Murphy slammed her way to 11 kills and 15 digs, and McKenzie Willey provided 11 kills for the Warriors.

Next on the schedule for the Warriors is Canyon View as they come to visit Thursday, September 30.

The schedule doesn’t get any easier for the Thunder as they will host Dixie, also on Thursday night.
