Task force arrests suspected drug dealer

ST. GEORGE – Detectives with the Washington County Drug and Gang Task Force removed a suspected drug dealer from the streets Thursday evening.

Jesus Palazuelos Guadalupe, 26, was arrested from his home in Dixie Downs for distribution of marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine. Lt. David Moss said detectives had been watching Guadalupe for a short amount of time after receiving information that he was dealing drugs.

“Through our investigation, we developed enough probable cause to apply for a warrant,” Moss said.

Moss said Guadalupe was breaking the drugs down into smaller quantities to distribute them. The total street value of the drugs found in the home was $6,000.

Guadalupe faces multiple felony charges that were enhanced because he was in a drug-free zone. Moss said charges are enhanced when the drugs are within 1,000 feet of a school, church or daycare.
