Snow Canyon Middle’s student council organized a dynamic welcome back assembly for students and faculty complete with singing, dancing, and ice cream sundaes.
The school was introduced to the “Carpe Diem” (Sieze the Day) theme and basic school rules with a video production. Students then competed in relays to show school spirit.
In the sundae contest, teams raced to build an ice cream sundae on the face of a volunteer lying on the gym floor. The faculty team outraced both grades for the win.
The night before, the Parent Teacher Student Association decorated the student forum with glow sticks and black lights for the “Glowing Back to School” dance.
The athletic teams are playing well with wins in tennis, volleyball, football and girls soccer. Additionally in the school-wide academic GPA contest, the school currently holds a 3.4 average grade point.
