Search for Clay Branham planned for Saturday

KANAB – Family and friends of Clay Branham, missing since July 18, are asking for volunteers in a new search for the 30 year old man to be conducted Saturday, September 4. Those who wish to help in the search should meet at the rest area between Kanab, Utah and Fredonia, Arizona at 8 a.m. ATV's, dirt bikes and horses are all welcome in the search. A command post will be set up throughout the day to coordinate the search efforts.
Branham is described on Facebook as a good cowboy who enjoys good company with friends, family and the outdoors. He made it a point to call his dad weekly. Standing at 5'8", and weighing 165 pounds, he can often be found wearing Wrangler jeans, cowboy boots, a baseball cap or a cowboy hat. He sports a purple and white tattoo on his right shoulder of a crescent moon and clouds. 
Accoding to the Facebook site, Finding Clay Branham, that his friends and family update, he has been working as a mule tour guide at Bryce Canyon. He was last reported to work Monday, July 12. He did not return to work as expected on July 15. 
Branham reportedly stayed at the Aiken's Lodge in Kanab until July 18, and the last known activity on his credit card took place on July 21 at Judd's Chevron in Fredonia, Ariz., where he purchased gas and groceries.  There was hope that he would meet his Army Recruiter in Ely, Nev., as scheduled to begin boot camp on August 15.He did not show up for the appointment. 
Two Facebook pages dedicated to finding Clay are being used as a constant source of updated information and ideas about his whereabouts. Hunters and campers have been asked to look out for any clues that may point to Clay or his vehicle, a black 2001 GMC extended cab short bed pickup truck, with Nevada license plate number 398-VAW.  Individuals with possible information on Clay's whereabouts are asked to contact their local authorities.
