HURRICANE –  Thursday afternoon, the St. Paul’s Catholic Women’s Council delivered placemats to the nursing homes in the Hurricane area.

Each year, the women get together, coordinated by Karen Poelakker, Women’s Council President, to do something special for the residents.

The past two years have been dedicated to making placemats. This year, placemats were red, white, blue. After the presentation, the women and residents sang Christmas carols. This annual event has become a highlight for all during the holidays.
