St. George author selected by Amazon’s Kindle Scout

ST. GEORGE — St. George author, Amy Jarecki, has been selected as one of the first of ten authors to be included in the launch in Amazon’s Kindle Scout publishing program with her historical romance, “A Highland Knight’s Desire.” Amy’s book is presently available for pre-order on Amazon and will be released as of March 3.

Amazon’s official press release states:

Launched back in October, the Kindle Scout program offers readers the opportunity to preview excerpts from unreleased books and help decide which will get published while earning free copies of digital books for their participation. As part of the program, readers get to preview the first few pages from unreleased books from aspiring authors, then nominate up to three at a time for publishing. After 30 days, the Kindle Scout team tallies how many nominations the book received and decides if it’s suitable for publishing.

“Since we opened our doors we’ve been busy weighing the feedback of over 29,000 enthusiastic Scouts who have nominated the books they want to read next,” Dina Hilal, general manager for Kindle Scout, said in a statement. “These first 10 titles signal a new option for authors, who can choose to have their books discovered and supported by Amazon customers even before they are published.”

“Having ‘A Highland Knight’s Desire’ selected for Kindle Scout has been a Godsend in this extremely competitive market,” Jarecki said . “Though it has been delightful to work with the Kindle Scout team, I think the best part is being selected by the reading community. The readers chose my book. How cool is that?”

Readers can find “A Highland Knight’s Desire” and all of Amy’s books on Amazon’s Amy Jarecki author page or her website.

Awesome to see a St. George author getting selected in the initial group of books! I was especially excited to see this, because I am also an author from St. George (technically Washington Fields…) that is trying to get a book published on Kindle Scout.

Please do me a favor and nominate Freelancer On Kindle Scout . You’ll receive a free copy of the book fi it gets selected to be published!
